Party leader remembered in Myanmar

Many ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires from diplomatic corps in Myanmar, and representatives of local authorities, political parties, organisations, and crowds of individuals came to the Vietnamese Embassy in the country to pay last respects to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on July 25 -26.

Yangon (VNA) – Many ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires from diplomatic corps in Myanmar, and representatives of local authorities, political parties, organisations, and crowds of individuals came to the Vietnamese Embassy in the country to pay last respects to General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on July 25 -26.

They expressed their sorrow over the passing of the Vietnamese Party leader, highly valued and showed their admiration for his significant contributions to developing and elevating relations between Vietnam and countries, regions, and international organisations, as well as to Vietnam’s development.

Earlier, on July 19, Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing sent messages of condolences to State President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Hlaing stated that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will always be in the hearts of the Vietnamese people for his dedication to the development and prosperity of the country and its people.

Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan pledged to continue promoting solidarity and fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs./.
