Party leader hails national solidarity

Speaking to residents, the Party leader said thefestival, which aims to mark the founding anniversary of the VietnamFatherland Front (VFF) on November 18, is an opportunity for peoplethroughout the country to review all campaigns and activities that theVFF has launched, as well as honour organizations, families andindividuals who are exemplary in movements of patriotic emulation andgreat solidarity.

He stressed the importance of solidarity amongthe Vietnamese people during the country’s revolution for nationalindependence and freedom and during its process of national development.

“The VFF’s 8 th National Congress (last September)came up with new lines in which the role of the people is veryimportant,” he said.

Accordingly, the role of peoplewill be further promoted to enable them to join in discussions and feelfree in speaking out, doing, checking, and supervising, he added.

He urged Pho Yen residents to continue promoting long-lastingtraditions and experience to achieve all set target for building abeautiful, prosperous and civilised homeland.

TheParty leader joined VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan in visiting peoplein the hamlet and meeting with exemplary families of the movement,including families of veterans and war invalids. “All people unite tobuild a cultural life in residential areas,” he said.

Earlier on the day, the General Secretary met with authorities of PhoYen district and Thai Nguyen province and urged them to strengthen theirmanagement of industrial zones, residential areas and vocationaltraining for sustainable development.

He expresseddelight at the achievements of the local Party organisation, governmentand people, including a 20 percent annual growth rate, 55 million VND(2,600 USD) per capita income, a poor household rate of merely 7percent, and robust Party building work. He also called for betterpreparations for Party congresses at all levels.

On the same morning, Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong visited Samsung Vietnam Electronics in Yen Binh industrial zone.

Talking to the company’s staff, he noted that besides developingproduction and business, the company continued to take care of itsworkers and ensure humane working and living conditions for them.-VNA
