Thang, who is also President of the Ho Chi Minh NationalAcademy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theory Council, met withHuang Kunming, Politburo member and Secretary of the Guangdong Party Committee.
The two sides expressed their delight that under thestrategic direction of the two Party General Secretaries, bilateral cooperationhas recorded positive progress, including contributions by collaboration betweenGuangdong and Vietnamese localities.
Thang affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State attachgreat importance to and support the comprehensive and substantive cooperationbetween the country and Guangdong. He suggested the two sides continue promotingall-level delegation exchanges and strengthen discussions on new cooperation methodsand forms to make most of collaboration potential, especially in economics,trade, investment, tourism, and personnel training.
The official also expressed respect for and thanks to theGuangdong Party Committee, administration and people for preserving relic sitesrelated to the Vietnamese revolution.
For his part, Huang affirmed that his province attachesimportance to and wishes to work with Vietnamese localities to intensify cooperationin economy, trade and investment, and in sharing Party building experiences.
Earlier, the delegation paid a workingvisit to Shenzhen city where Thang had a meeting with leading officials of thecity. The two sides discussed measures to promote substantive and mutuallybeneficial cooperation between Shenzhen and Vietnamese localities, andexchanged experiences in socio-economic development and urban management.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also had aworking session with Xie Chuntao, member of the Party Central Committee,Standing Vice Rector of the Central Party School of the Communist Party ofChina. The two sides shared experiences in training managers and leaders,theoretical research and cooperation directions between the Ho Chi MinhNational Academy of Politics and the Central Party School./.
