Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has called for more effortsto combat corruption, with focus on accelerating the progress of worksrelating inspection, proceeding commencement and judgment and increasingcoordination among relevant agencies in the work.
Chairing the seventh session of the Steering Committee onAnti-Corruption in Hanoi on April 25, the Party leader assigned theParty Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs to map outmeasures to deal with instances of petty corruption, and to work closelywith members of the Steering Committee to supervise the implementationof approved missions.
Looking back the fight against corruptionin the first quarter of this year, the leader hailed the committee forits comprehensive performance to prevent and combat corruption in allfields and those across localities nationwide, which have recordedsignificant results.
In the first three months of theyear, anti-corruption work was actively carried out in all fields withthe implementation of various corruption prevention solutions,especially administrative reform, and the coordination of relevantagencies in the fight, heard the event.
In thesecond quarter, the committee continues to speed up educational work onthe fight against corruption, and perfect socio-economic managementregulations and legal documents on the issue in accordance with theConstitution.-VNA
