Parliamentary friendship alliance contributes to Vietnam-Japan ties

President Tran Dai Quang has hailed the active contributions of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance to prompting the two countries’ extensive strategic partnership.
Tokyo (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang has hailed theactive contributions of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance to promptingthe two countries’ extensive strategic partnership.

During his meeting with President of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary FriendshipAlliance Toshihiro Nikai in Tokyo on June 1, President Quang expressed hispleasure to pay a State-level visit to Japan on the occasion of the 45thfounding anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.

The two countries are witnessing strong andpragmatic cooperation development in various fields as well as the closeexchanges between the two parties, parliaments, and the Vietnam-Japan and Japan-Vietnamparliamentary friendship alliances.

The President urged the Japan-VietnamParliamentary Friendship Alliance to continue coordinating with theVietnam-Japan counterpart to increase delegation exchanges and step upcollaboration in economy, tourism, culture, people-to-people exchange, andhuman resources training.

He suggested building the Vietnam-JapanUniversity into a leading education facility providing high-quality humanresources for Vietnam and other countries in the region.

Toshihiro Nikai, who is also Secretary-Generalof the Liberal Democratic Party, said he was glad to welcome President Quangand his spouse and the high-level Vietnamese delegation in Japan.

He affirmed that his alliance will spare noefforts to promote the two countries’ cooperative relations in a more pragmaticmanner in the time ahead, especially in delegation exchanges, investment, tradeand human resources training.-VNA
