The lights will be delivered to schools, health centres and communitygroups in four districts – Dien Bien Dong, Tua Chua, Tuan Giao and MuongCha.
Fukumori Eiji, General Director ofPanasonic Vietnam, said the activity is part of the global project“100,000 solar-powered lights” initiated by Panasonic in 2012, whichaims to provide the equipment to non-government and non-profitogranisations to help solve social issues of residents in areas withoutelectricity.
In the coming time, Panasonic willcontinue bringing light to households in remote villages withoutelectricity, both in Vietnam as well as countries in Asia and Africa.
The solar-powered light distributed for theproject is a device equipped with a solar penal with a capacity of 3.5wand a high-volume rechargeable battery which can be fully charged withinsix hours under direct sunshine.-VNA
