Pakistan remains thelargest tea importer of Vietnam, registering an average turnover ofover 40 million USD per year and comprising over 20 percent of theVietnamese total tea export volume.

The Ministry ofIndustry and Trade has run a number of activities to help tea exportersmake inroads into the market via online information exchanges andparticipation in trade fairs and workshops to promote Vietnamese teabrand name to international partners.

Do Quang Huy,Director of the African and West and South Asian Market Department underthe Ministry of Industry and Trade, cited insufficient marketinformation as one of the major barriers that hinder Vietnamese firmsfrom accessing Pakistani market.
