The overseas Vietnamese in Angola held a get-together on December 28 in Luanda, Angola on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, which falls on February 19.

The event was co-hosted by the overseas Vietnamese Association and the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola.

Addressingthe event, Vice Chairman of the association Pham Van Duc highlightedthe association’s material and spiritual contributions to homelandactivities as well donating 48 tonnes of rice to the Angolan provincesof Namibe and Benguela.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Do BaKhoa called on Vietnamese businesses in Angola to join hands withdomestic businesses in raising the Vietnamese firms’ position andcontinue making more contributions to the national development.

At the event, nearly 3,600 USD was raised for the association’s activities.-VNA

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
