Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador toRussia Ngo Duc Manh has praised the association of Vietnamese people in Russiafor their active contributions to reinforcing and developing the two countries’comprehensive strategic partnership.
At a conference to review the association’sperformance in 2015-2017 in Moscow on July 20, the ambassador recognised itsefforts to help overseas Vietnamese stabilise their lives and integrate intothe host society.
The association also held activities to support thehomeland, he said.
Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam took note ofthe opinions raised by the association members and pledged to deliver theirproposals and aspirations to domestic relevant agencies.
Participants suggested increasing disseminationof legal regulations and changes in business conditions in Russia forVietnamese expatriates to promote their legal status in the country.
They recommended that the association step upthe teaching and learning of Vietnamese language and culture for expat children.
At the same time, the association should provideconsultation for enterprises and individuals who want to explore businessopportunities in Russia and promoting Vietnamese goods and tourism.
It is necessary to seek new and diverse measuressuch as organising workshops, exchanging delegations, and establishing twinties among localities to enhance Vietnam-Russia comprehensive cooperation.
The association members also suggested expandingexchanges with other foreign communities in Russia and sending representativesto attend relevant activities held by Russian legal social organisations.-VNA
