Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City – a leading regional trade fair for automotive services - kicked off on June 23 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of over 460 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.

HCM City (VNA) – Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City – a leadingregional trade fair for automotive services - kicked off on June 23 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of over 460exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.

This year, the annual fifth edition sees a record number of exhibitors whichis 28% higher than that of the previous one.

Fiona Chiew, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said that sinceAutomechanika Ho Chi Minh City was launched, Vietnam has been consideredone of the fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia. Through the process ofurbanisation development, the domestic auto industry is preparing to enter anew era, getting opportunities from the integration of development in electricvehicles, digital technology, manufacturing and automation industries into thesupply chain.

Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City has also become a trade promotionplatform, a place to exchange and develop technology and business in Vietnam. Exhibitorscan launch a wide range of the latest products, services, technologies andsolutions, including components, accessories, diagnostic and repair equipment, electricvehicles and automobile manufacturing and automation.

Within the framework of the trade fair that runsuntil June 25, there will be a conference on automobile production, digitaltransformation and automation, focusing on the Government's goals to improvedomestic production and raise Vietnam's position in the international arena.

It also includes event to connect businesses with digitisationand electrification. Representatives from Vinso Global Limited, IBM,TecAlliance Asia Pacific and VINAI will introduce the blueprint for electricand mobile vehicles of Vietnam, digitalisation of manufacturing, connectivity andself-driving in Asia./.
