Hanoi(VNA) – Vietnam has arranged a Vietnam Airlines flight to bring home more than340 citizens from Russia.
The flightdeparted from Moscow on May 12, carrying children under the age of 18, students without a place to stay because of school and dormitory closures, the elderly, sick people, tourists and people whose visas had expired but could not leave thecountry.
The Embassy ofVietnam in Russia has instructed the citizens to complete all requiredprocedures and cooperated with local authorities to support them during theirjourney home.
Landing at VanDon International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh the followingday, the passengers and cabin crew members were provided with medical checkups and quarantinedin line with regulations.
Heading toRussia, national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines also took Russian citizens home.
