Over 160 Vietnamese citizens receive Australian scholarships

A total of 161 Vietnamese citizens will start their post-graduate studies in Australia from early next year under the Australian government’s scholarship programme.
A total of 161 Vietnamese citizens will start their post-graduatestudies in Australia from early next year under the Australiangovernment’s scholarship programme.

They include 117 recipientsof Australia Awards Scholarships, of whom two are the disabled andseven are from ethnic minority groups; and 44 recipients of AustraliaAwards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships.

A ceremony to present scholarship took place in Hanoi on November 28.

Asmany as 4,500 Vietnamese citizens have been trained in Australia underthe programme since the two countries established their diplomatic tiesin 1973.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
