The Connecting VietYouth 2015 (CVY 2015) programme will begin with acharity run titled CVY Innovation Marathon on July 25 at the Hang DayStadium in Hanoi. The run with prizes totalling over 500 million VND(23,200 USD) is expected to attract more than 1,500 people, includingexpatriate students from the UK, France, Switzerland, the US, Australiaand Singapore.
The proceeds will be spent onpresenting books and stationery to underprivileged students in northernmountainous provinces and organising an event celebrating the Mid-AutumnFestival for child patients at the Hanoi-based Institute of Haematologyand Blood Transfusion.
A start-up workshop (CVYInnovation Day) and another giving advice on overseas study (CVY StudyAbroad Conference) will be held at the National Convention Centre inHanoi one day later. Successful entrepreneurs and overseas students willshare their experience to give the youth practical views of thesetopics.
CVY 2015 participants will also offerpresents to child patients at the National Cancer Hospital and joindisadvantaged children in exchanges and help their families in homerepairs.
The CVY 2015 is organised by the GlobalShapers Community, the Vietnamese Students Association in the UK and theVietnamese Youth and Student Association in the US.-VNA
