The activity is part of a plan to present 2,250 scholarships valued atnearly 20 billion VND (940,000 USD) to outstanding Vietnamese studentsand young researchers across the country.
Students at universities and colleges and young researchers will get 13 million VND each.
The two professors are on their cross-Vietnam tour from August 23 to September 7 to award the beneficiaries by their own.
Since its establishment in 2011, the fund has awarded over 120 billion VND (5.7 million USD) to nearly 25,000 students.
In 2013 alone, the fund presented 2,188 scholarships worth over 18.84 billion VND (885,480 USD)
The fund was established by French Professor Odon Vallet, fromFrance’s Sorbonne Paris University, through the Meeting Vietnamorganisation founded by the Vietnamese-French Professor Tran Thanh Van.-VNA
