North-south railway flyover inaugurated in Nghe An

An elevated bridge crossing the North-South railway in central Nghe An province was inaugurated and open to traffic on September 4, helping ensure safety for trains on the route.

The flyover on NationalHighway 46 is 361 metres long and 20m wide. It took only six months forthe Civil Engineering Company 4 (Cienco 4) to build the bridge insteadof the planned one year.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony,Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised efforts by Cienco 4 staffin completing the project ahead of schedule.

Apart from easingtraffic congestion at the crossroad between the North-South railway andNational Highway 46, the project has created a facelift for the southernpart of the Nghe An city of Vinh.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
