No new COVID-19 cases, eight recovered patients recorded

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recordedno new COVID-19 cases on September 25 afternoon, keeping the total number of infectionsunchanged at 1,069.

Today also marks the 23rd consecutiveday without transmissions in the community, said the National SteeringCommittee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

However, experts said Vietnam isfacing four infection risk sources: people entering the country illegally,those who enter Vietnam legally but do not follow quarantine regulationsseriously, the source circulating in the community, and imported commoditieswhich are made in and transported though disease-hit countries.

On September 25, eight more patientswere given the all-clear from the disease, including six people treated at theNational Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district, one at theQuang Nam Central General Hospital and another at the Tuberculosis and LungHospital in central Quang Tri province.

The newly-recovered patients broughtthe total number of recoveries in the country to 999, while there have been 35deaths related to COVID-19 so far.

Among patients under treatment, thereis no longer any critical case, while four have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2once, 14 twice and 12 thrice.

As many as 21,842 people who hadclose contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam from pandemic-hitregions are being quarantined across the country./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
