No new COVID-19 cases confirmed on October 6 morning

Vietnam has entered the 34th consecutive day without COVID-19 community infections as no new cases were reported on October 6 morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam has entered the 34th consecutive daywithout COVID-19 community infections as no new cases were reported on October6 morning, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Preventionand Control.

Thenational count remains at 1,097, including 691 locally-transmitted cases.

Atotal of 1,022 have been given the all-clear so far. The fatalities areunchanged at 35.

Some14,370 who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or came from pandemic-areasare under health monitoring nationwide.

Amongthe active patients, two have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2once, two twice and six thrice. There are no patients in critical conditions./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
