No new COVID-19 case in 13 days, two return to positive

Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 case as of 6pm on April 29, keeping the total at 270 and marking the 13th straight day without patients infected with the novel coronavirus in the community, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded no new COVID-19 case as of 6pm on April 29, keeping the total at 270 and marking the 13th straight day without patients infected with the novel coronavirus in the community, according to the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.


However, patients No.130 and 50 returned to positive again. Bothof them are being treated at the Hanoi-based National Hospital of TropicalDiseases No.2.

Among the 270 cases, 130 are imported cases and have been quarantined upon their arrival in Vietnam.

According to the committee, of the patients being treated, 10 cases tested negative once and four others negative at least twice.

As of 6pm on April 29, as many as 42,057 who had close contactwith confirmed patients and returned from other countries were being quarantined, including 323 in hospital, 6,643 at other quarantine facilities  and 35,091 at home./.
