Nghe An licenses 49 new FDI projects in four months

Central Nghe An province has granted licences to 49 new foreign-invested projects with a total investment of over 6.8 trillion VND (315.7 million USD) during the first four months of 2015, said the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Eight other projects also received the local authority’s nod to add acombined 237.1 billion VND (11 million USD) to their investment capital.

Nghe An province has increased its effort to luremore foreign investments by not only preferential policies but alsotimely support to help investors solve difficulties, notably in publicadministration, land clearance and planning.

From2015 onwards, the locality will focus on land clearance for keyprojects, including the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 6 (VSIP6),Vinh - Cua Lo Avenue, General Hospital and Tuan LocIndustrial Park.

The province has enhancedcoordination with the Foreign Investment Agency and foreign investmentpromotion bodies, for example the Korea Trade-Investment PromotionAgency (KOTRA) and Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in order toimprove efficiency of its investment promotion efforts.-VNA
