Nghe An focuses on upgrading irrigation

The central province of Nghe An is taking measures to build and upgrade its irrigation network to meet water demands for agricultural purposes, daily use and industrial production.
The central province of Nghe An is taking measures to build and upgradeits irrigation network to meet water demands for agricultural purposes,daily use and industrial production.

The province is now home to 624 reservoirs, 559 pump stations, 400 dams and 4,700 kilometres of irrigation canals.

Currently, Nghe An is calling for investment in key projects such asthe Ban Mong reservoir, Nam Dan dyke, Vach Nam-Song Bung drainagesystem, pump stations in Vinh city, the Lam river and Hoang Mai riverdykes and other flood drainage networks.

The projects willcontribute to increasing agricultural productivity volume as well aspoverty reduction and livelihood improvement.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
