Hanoi (VNA) – Delegates to the 12th National Party Congress have shown their belief that the Congress will democratically discuss and approve appropriate resolutions, and select the next tenure’s Party Central Committee which will lead the country in swift, strong and sustainable development.

Talking to Vietnam News Agency reporters on the sidelines of the event, Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vicem Hai Phong Cement Limited Company, said he believes that the Congress will make decisions suitable for economic development during 2016-2020.

He wished that after this event, the Party Central Committee and State will create the right conditions for enterprises to grow further, by giving them autonomy and helping them gain access to loans.

As the youngest member of the Hai Phong city delegation to the Congress, Tran Quang Tuong, Secretary of the municipal Youth Union, is particularly interested in contents relating to policies, orientations and strategies for national development and protection in the next tenure.

He expressed his hope that the Party will pay more attention to Youth Union activities and create conditions for young people to devote their knowledge and dynamism to the country. The young generation has been making more and more important contributions to the process of nation building, safeguarding and development and the international integration of the country, he said.

Meanwhile, according to the Secretary of the Party Committee of Dak Lak province’s Buon Ma Thuot city, Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, thanks to the leadership of local Party Committees and the attention by the Party Central Committee, ethnic-related policies have been implemented synchronously and effectively and have produced positive results.

The national programme on socio-economic development for extremely disadvantaged areas (Programme 135) has contributed to changing the lives of people in rural areas and ethnic minority-inhabited areas.

However, the shifting of the economic structure in Dak Lak’s ethnic-inhabited areas remains slow and unstable, while the poverty rate in these areas is higher than the average rate, the delegate shared.-VNA
