Themuseum covers an area of 530 square metres inside the Saigon Zoo at Nguyen BinhKhiem street in District 1.
Itdisplays many specimens of botanicals and animals, including more than 350specimens of 140 rare botanical species and 170 animal species.
Manykinds of rare and endangered animals are on display, such as Indochinesetigers, white rhinoceroses, pheasants, pelicans, leopards and gaurs.
Onthe Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, the museum will introduce two Bengal tigers,a family of African spotted hyenas, two South American camels, and aneight-month-old hippo infant weighing over 150kg.
TheSaigon Zoo features more than 1,100 animals from over 120 species and severalthousand plants, including many endangered species listed in Vietnam’s Red Bookand the World Red Book.-VNA
