New flights to Chu Lai from HCM City

Vietnam’s recent economic progress has earned the admiration of Ezequiel Ramoneda , Coordinator of the Centre for Southeast Asian Studies at Argentina's National University of La Plata.
The Central province of Quang Nam supports and facilitates two low-costcarriers Jetstar Pacific Airlines and Vietjet air to open return flightsbetween Chu Lai and Ho Chi Minh City.

The statement was made byTran Dinh Tung, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’sCommittee during a working session with Jetstar Pacific Airlines’leaders on April 15.

Accordingly, Jetstar Pacific Airlines willoperate three flights weekly, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, using180-seat Airbus 320s. The airline will inaugurate its first flight onMay 19 to honour the late President Ho Chi Minh’s 125th birthday.

Earlier,the province also approved Vietjet air’s plan to run the same routewith four flights each week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Theair carrier will fly its first route on May 27.

Chu Lai airport has upgraded its technical infrastructure to meet airline demand.

The province will also provide financial support to transport passengers from Tam Ky city to the airport, and vice versa.-VNA
