This will open new cooperation spaces and deepencollaboration in all spheres, from economy to tourism, employment, educationand culture, as well as people-to-people exchange, Vietnamese Ambassador to theRoK Nguyen Vu Tung told the seminar.
The event on connectivity between Korean localitiesand enterprises, and Vietnamese localities saw the participation of more than100 delegates, including those from Vietnam’s Bac Lieu, Kon Tum and ThuaThien-Hue provinces and Can Tho city, along with representatives from localitiesand more than 50 businesses of the RoK.
Yoo Ming-bong, Secretary General of the Governors Associationof the RoK (GAROK), noted that after 30 years of the establishment of theVietnam-RoK diplomatic ties, the bilateral relationship has been seen as amodel with political trust, dynamic, flexible, close economic cooperation, and close-knitties between people of the two countries.
GAROK will work together with Vietnamese localities inconducting activities to enhance and expand cooperation between localities ofthe two countries, thus contributing to strengthening the bilateral friendship,he continued.
The Vietnamese representatives briefed the participantson strengths of their localities and incentives towards Korean investors, and pledgedto facilitate their operations.
While in the RoK, the Vietnamese delegation hadworking sessions with leaders of GAROK and Korean localities and businesses.
The Korean side raised initiatives to expandcooperation with Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Kon Tom and Thua Thien-Hue in various fieldslike trade, high-tech agriculture, processing, labour export,education-training, construction, and energy, among others./.
