Netherlands funds city’s waste water treatment

The Dutch Government will provide almost 374,000 EUR for a pre-feasibility study of a project to collect, treat and reuse waste water in Phan Rang-Thap Cham city, the southern central province of Ninh Thuan.
The Dutch Government will provide almost 374,000 EUR for apre-feasibility study of a project to collect, treat and reuse wastewater in Phan Rang-Thap Cham city, the southern central province ofNinh Thuan.

The funding agreement was signed by the Facilityfor Infrastructure Development ORIO of the Netherlands and theprovincial authorities on March 10.

The pre-feasibility study is scheduled to begin on April 1 this year.

The project aims to collect and treat waste water discharged by about25,000 households and 300 businesses, improve the quality of water inman-made lakes and rivers in the locality, and contribute to protectingthe environment there.

It will help the localresponsible agencies apply proper waste water treatment technologies andreuse treated water for agricultural production and rural developmentin suburban areas.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
