Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 450 Vietnamese citizens in the Republic of Korea wereflown home on two flights on October 21.
Theflights were arranged by relevant agencies of the two countries and operated byVietnam Airlines.
Passengerson the flights included children, the elderly, people with illnesses, pregnantwomen, labourers with expired contracts, students already completing theircourses, and those in other disadvantaged circumstances.
Strictsecurity, safety and epidemiological measures were implemented during theflights to ensure passengers’ health and prevent the spreading of diseases.
Afterthe flights landed in Can Tho airport in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, allpeople on the flights had their health checked and were sent to quarantine inline with regulations.
Vietnamesecitizens in disadvantaged circumstances abroad will continue to be repatriatedin line with their wish as well as the development of the COVID-19 pandemic andquarantine capacity in the country./.
