Ha Giang (VNA) – The Republic of Korea’s organisation Vision Care in collaboration with the Ha Giang Eye Hospital provided eye care for nearly 500 poor and ethnic minority people in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.
During the December 28-31 programme, doctors have also performed surgery on patients with serious problems such as cataracts and eye refraction.
Poor patients from the remote areas also received financial support from the Vision Care and the hospital to cover travel expenses.
Earlier, doctors from the Military Hospital 354 under the Defence Ministry’s General Department of Logistics provided free health check-ups and advice to 500 people and eye care for 500 students in Cao Ma Po commune, Quan Ba district.
They also gave free medicine to 110 policy beneficiaries, people who rendered service the nation, and the needy in addition to gifts including books and notebooks, blankets, and clothes to local boarders.-VNA
