Moscow (VNA) – The Vietnam War Veterans’ Association in Russia on held aceremony in Moscow on April 30 night to mark the 44th anniversary ofthe liberation of South Vietnam and national reunification.
Theevent also marked the third founding anniversary of the association which nowhas hundreds of members across Russia.
VietnameseAmbassador to Russia Ngo Duc Manh, Vietnam’s defence attache in Russia MajorGeneral Tran Minh Son, along with former Russian military experts and friendswere among the guests at the ceremony.
Speakingat the ceremony, president of the association Luu Cong Niem reviewed activitiesof the association over the past three years.
Inhis remarks, Ambassador Manh said the embassy always highly values the activerole played by the association as well as its members in enhancing solidarityamong Vietnamese in the host country, and promoting the friendship betweenVietnamese and Russian war veterans. -VNA
