The delegation of national leaders at President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum in Hanoi (Photo: VNA)Hanoi (VNA) - A delegationof the Party Central Committee, National Assembly, State, Government andVietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee paid tribute to late President HoChi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on August 30 on the occasion of the 74thNational Day (September 2).
The delegation included PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan,and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man,along with a number of former Party, State and Government leaders.
The delegation also laid flowers atthe Monument for Heroic Martyrs at Bac Son street.
The same day, a number ofdelegations, including those from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry ofPublic Security and Hanoi also paid homage to late President Ho Chi Minh andthe heroic martyrs.
President Ho Chi Minh led the Vietnamesenation to success in the struggle for national independence.
On September 2, 1945, he read the Declarationof Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the DemocraticRepublic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Over the past 50 years, the President’stestament has been the torchlight for Vietnam’s revolution.
President Ho Chi Minh was a talentedleader, a national hero who devoted all his life to the national independenceand freedom and happiness of the people while tirelessly striving for peace andprogress in the world.
The same day, a delegation of theParty Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam FatherlandFront Committee of Ho Chi Minh City paid tribute to the late President at theHo Chi Minh Museum’s branch in the city.-VNA
