The National Assembly Television Channel was launched in Hanoi on January 6, with Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung in attendance.

Addressingthe event, head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that theNational Assembly TV channel will serve as the legislature’s officialorgan providing comprehensive coverage of the activities of the toplegislative body and local People’s Councils.

Itwill help voice voters’ opinions and aspirations swiftly and fully aswell as acting as a bridge connecting the NA with voters and as a forumfor them to exchange ideas in order to increase the NA’s operationefficiency, he added.

At the 18th meeting of the13th NA Standing Committee on May 16, 2013, the Radio the Voice ofVietnam (VOV) was assigned to be in charge of producing the NationalAssembly TV channel.

Since October 2014, the channel has had a trial run for five hours a day on VOV TV channel.

With joint efforts over 200 reporters, editors and technicians, the channel is now broadcast around the clock.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
