Hanoi (VNA) – Agencies of the National Assembly(NA) will continue to fine-tune and organise the implementation of policies related topeople with disabilities, creating favourable conditions for them to accesssocial services, Vice Chairman of the NA Nguyen Khac Dinh affirmed on December13.
He made the pledge when meeting with 20 outstanding youngdelegates who are attending a programme named Shining Will of Vietnam whichhighlights efforts by young Vietnamese people with disabilities.
At the meeting, NA Vice Chairman Dinh spoke highly ofefforts made by young people with disabilities and their contributions tosociety, saying that they provide a source of inspiration for young people, people with disabilities and the entire society as a whole.
The delegates hoped that people with disabilities will have more job opportunitiesat enterprises, and the State will build incentives to help them surmountdifficulties.
This year, 50 young people with disabilities engaging invarious fields such as culture-art, sports and start-ups, were honoured by theShining Will of Vietnam programme, which was first launched by the Vietnam Youth FederationCentral Committee in 2013.
In the 2014-19, four editions of the programme were launched,drawing more than 36,000 participants./.
