NA Standing Committee’s 33rd session wrapped up

The 34th session of the NA Standing Committee was scheduled to start on May 8, focusing on reviewing the outcomes of the NA’s 33th session and giving preliminary opinions on preparations for the next session of the legislature.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 34th session of the NAStanding Committee was scheduled to start on May 8, focusing on reviewing theoutcomes of the NA’s 33rd session and giving preliminary opinions onpreparations for the next session of the legislature.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said at the closing ceremony for the 33rd session of the NA Standing Committee on April 19.

Chairwoman Ngan said the NA Standing Committee hascompleted all items on the working agenda and adjusted a number of contents afternine days of work.

She suggested the Government, the NA’s committees and the NA Secretary Generalwork with relevant agencies and organisations to acquire opinions put forth atthe session, finalise reports and projects, and complete approved draftresolutions for signing.

The NA Secretary General would continue studying andcompleting the contents of the 7th plenary session of the National Assembly,which is expected to open on May 20 and last until June 13. They would be sentto NA deputies for opinions as regulated.

For preparations for the next session of thelegislature, she required relevant agencies and organisations to promptlyprepare quality bills to submit to the NA Standing Committee for consideration.

She also asked the Government, the ministries and sectors to work with the NA’sCouncil for Ethnic Affairs and the NA’s committees to complete the contents tosubmit to the NA.-VNA
