Hanoi,  (VNA) - The National Assembly is slated to adopt two resolutions and three laws during its morning sitting on June 12, part of the on-going fifth session.

The two draft resolutions put out to voting deal with the approval ofthe State budget balance in 2016 and the NA’s supervision programme for 2019.

The three bills are the Law onCompetition (revised), the Law on Cyber Security and the Law on Denunciation(revised).

The draft revised competition law has one new chapter (Chapter VII)dealing with the national competition agency, its tasks and authority.

The bill on cyber security comprises 7 chapters and 47 articles. Before votingon the bill, the NA’s fifth session continued to discuss several matters, including security measures for information systems important to nationalsecurity (Chapter II); prevention and handling of acts violating law on cybersecurity (Chapter III); and ensuring cyber information security for domesticand foreign agencies and organisations which provide cyber services or owninformation systems in Vietnam (Clauses 2 and 3 of Article 26).

Regarding the draft law on denunciation (revised), a majority of NAdeputies supported the expansion of forms of denunciation to catch up withsocial development and to conform with stipulations in other laws. Therefore, the draft law allows the submission of denunciation by facsimile, email andphone besides the current two forms of face-to-face meeting and writtenpetition. It also adds stipulations on the process of receiving denunciation toprevent the abuse of new forms of denunciation for wrong purposes.
