NA seeks to improve question-answer sessions

A workshop held in the central city of Da Nang on July 22 sought ideas to improve the quality of National Assembly (NA) question-and-answer sessions, attracting over 60 delegates from NA Councils and Committees and lawmakers nationwide.

The move comes as thecountry is putting its new Constitution into practice, the amended Lawon NA Organisation is set to take effect and the Law on Supervision ofthe NA and the People’s Councils is set to be approved, said NA ViceChairman Huynh Ngoc Son while speaking at the event.

Reviewing the past performance of NA question-and-answer sessions, Sonacknowledged that the majority of them were highly constructive,democratic, concise and to the point.

Participantscalled for increased coordination among NA Committees as well asstreamlined procedures guiding and improving supervisory activities.

The workshop, co-hosted by the NA Office and the USAgency for International Development’s Governance for Inclusive Growthprogramme, will run until July 23.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
