Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan onSeptember 30 presented gifts to primary and secondary students in Son Duong districtof the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang ahead of the Mid-AutumnFestival.
Whilehanding over the gifts to students at Ton Duc Thang and Tuan Lo Primary Schools,Trung Yen and Tuan Lo Secondary Schools, the NA leader wished the children afancy festival and a good academic year.
Onthe same day, Chairwoman Ngan visited and planted a tree at the NationalAssembly’s Standing Committee Relic Site in Trung Yen commune of Son Duongdistrict where preserves many valuable documentaries on the Vietnam’s NationalAssembly since the first election.
Shealso offered incense and flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a templeworshiping the late leader in Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Tuyen Quang city.
Thechairwoman expressed her hope that the Party Organisation and people of TuyenQuang will continue uphold the revolutionary tradition to reap greater developmentachievements, while preserving and promoting the values of its historical relicsites to educate patriotism for younger generations.-VNA
