Hanoi (VNA) – Legislators reviewed theenforcement of policies and laws on child abuse prevention and control on May27, as part of the ongoing ninth session of the 14th NationalAssembly.
The meeting was chaired by NA Chairwoman Nguyen ThiKim Ngan and broadcast live on national television and radio channels, and thelegislature’s TV channel.
Le Thi Nga, head of the NA Committee for JudicialAffairs, presented a report on supervision outcomes of the implementation ofpolicies and laws on child abuse prevention and control.
The lawmakers then discussed online the enforcement ofthese policies and laws.
Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam clarified issuesraised by the deputies during the discussion.
Most of the legislators agreed with the achievementsas well as limitations mentioned in the supervision report, while givingproposals to improve the quality of the work.
They are scheduled to meet online on May 28 morning tolook into the national target programme on socio-economic development inmountainous and ethnic minority-inhabited areas for 2021-2030, and the draftlaw on investment in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
On May 28 afternoon, they will engage in anotheronline debate on the State budget settlement in 2018, and scrutinise the draftlaw amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Natural DisasterPrevention and Control and the Dyke Law./.
