NA debate revisions to Penal Code, agricultural land use tax exemption

Revisions to the Penal Code and agricultural land use tax exemption were the focus of discussion during the second working day of the 14 th National Assembly (NA)’s second session.

Hanoi (VNA) – Revisions to the Penal Code and agricultural land use, tax exemption were the focus of discussion during the second working day of the 14th National Assembly (NA)’s second session. 

In the morning, after the draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the Penal Code No. 100/2015/QH13 was presented to the NA by Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long, Chairwoman of the NA’s Committee for Judicial Affairs Le Thi Nga delivered a report verifying the draft. 

Later, Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung submitted a draft resolution revising and supplementing some articles of Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12 on exempting and reducing agricultural land use tax. 

Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Financial and Budgetary Affairs Nguyen Duc Hai presented a report verifying the draft resolution. 

After that, NA deputies spent the remaining of the day to discuss in groups the two drafts. 

On October 22, deputies will have group discussions on the economic restructuring plan for 2016-2020, the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2016, and the socio-economic development plan for next year. 

Issues up for group discussions during the day will also consist of the five-year financial plan; the targets and orientations for mobilising and using loans and public debt management between 2016 and 2020; the mid-term public investment plan for 2016-2020, the implementation results of the state budget plan for 2016; state budget estimates and state budget allocation proposals for 2017.-VNA
