Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will leave Hanoion December 8 to visit India at the invitation of Senate President MohammadHamid Ansari and Speaker of the Lower House Sumitra Mahajan.

The visitaims to concretise the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and deepenmultifaceted ties in the context of celebrations for the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership next year.

It alsolooks to extend relations between the Vietnamese and Indian legislatures,laying a foundation for long-term bilateral ties amid Vietnam’s intensive internationalintegration.

Followingthe visit, Chairwoman Ngan will lead a NA delegation to the United ArabEmirates (UAE) to attend the 11th Global Summit of Women Speakers ofParliament slated for December 11-13 at the invitation of President of theInter-Parliamentary Union Saber Chowdhury and President of the Federal NationalCouncil of the UAE Amal Al Qubaisi.

TheVietnamese delegation’s presence at the summit reflects the country’s policy ofactive and proactive integration into the world. It aims to improve the statureof Vietnam and its legislature at regional and global parliamentary forums andaffirms the Party and State’s gender equality policy./.
