Meeting Vice Speaker of the House of Councilors of Japan Koshiishi Azuma in Hanoi on December 15, Chairman Hung thanked the effective support that Japan has provided for Vietnam, especially since the establishment of the extensive strategic cooperative partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia.

The Vietnamese Party, State and NA continually value and do their utmost to foster the friendship and cooperation between the two States and peoples, he said.

Azuma, in response, expressed his wish that the two legislatures will facilitate all-level visits to share legislation experience and boost people-to-people exchange, particularly among young generations.

He pledged to exert himself to promote Vietnam-Japan links upon his return.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the leap in political, diplomatic, economic and trade engagements as well as people-to-people exchange over the past time.
