National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung expressed wish that the parliament and government of Germany and Hessen State in particular would further promote all-round ties with Vietnam for the sake of both countries.
Meeting Minister for Sciences and Arts of Hessen State Boris Rhein in Hanoi on November 5, Chairman Hung said Vietnam continually considers education-training and science-technology the top policy in its strategic partnership with Germany, and vowed to provide all possible support for German and Hessen State investors to do business in Vietnam.
The NA and people of Vietnam will do their best to intensify links with German counterparts, he stated.
He hailed flourishing ties between Hessen State and Vietnam over the past time, with the building of the Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) as one of regional and global stature.
The host also thanked Germany and Hessen State for providing scholarships for Vietnamese students.
Rhein, for his part, described the VGU project as a “lighthouse” in bilateral ties, saying that the university is equipped with the latest German education equipment and model.
Speaking highly of Vietnamese students’ competence, he believed that Vietnam would score more achievements in the future thanks to its qualified manpower./.
