Hanoi (VNA) - A fire broke out at a hospital in Myanmar’s largestcity of Yangon on August 13, forcing staff to evacuate patients.
There were no immediate reports of deaths or injuries from the blaze thatstarted in a room in Yangon General Hospital’s cancer department, rescuers said.
Smoke rose from the colonial-era building in the hospital. Emergency staff swiftlyremoved medical equipment and patients from the building before a power cut.
Rescuers said about 60 patients were evacuated on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
