Brigadier General Aung Zeya, Myanmar’s military, naval and air force attaché toVietnam, made the statement at a Hanoi banquet on March 27 hosted by theMyanmar Embassy in Vietnam on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversaryof Myanmar’s Armed Forces.
Attending the event, Major General Ngo Minh Tien, Deputy Chief of the GeneralStaff of the VPA, said that in the context of the fruitfully developing bilateralrelations, the ties between the VPA and Myanmar’s Armed Forces have continuouslybeen consolidated and promoted.
He expressed his belief that the countries’ defence relations will develop morestrongly in the time to come, becoming an important part in the Vietnam-Myanmarcomprehensive cooperative partnership.
This will also make positive contributions to building the ASEAN Communitybased on three pillars, especially politics-security, thus fostering peace andstability in the region as well as facilitating the development of each ASEANmember states and the whole community, he added.-VNA
