The Myanmar Government has appointed Lieutenant General Sein Win as Minister of Defence and Lieutenant General Kyaw Swe as Minister of Border Affairs.
The appointment was mentioned in a decree issued by the Myanmar Presidential Office on August 24.
The new officials replaced Lieutenant Generals Wai Lwin and Thet Naing Win, who are said to leave the military to run for seats in the Assembly of the Union.-VNA
