Experts from Vietnam recently attended a seminar on agriculturalcooperation with Mozambique in its city of Maputo, and spoke highly ofMozambique’s potential in aquaculture, fisheries and seafood processingwhich are also strengths in Vietnam.
The seminar was held by the Foreign Ministry of Vietnam and relevantagencies in Mozambique as part of the implementation of high-levelagreements reached during reciprocal visits by the two countries’leaders.
The two sides agreed to facilitate the participation of theirenterprises and localities in cooperation and investment in thosefields.
The Vietnamese delegation to the seminar, headed by Deputy Minister ofAgriculture and Rural Development Diep Kinh Tan, was briefed on thepolicies on investment and foreign workers, the soil conditions and theclimate of Mozambique. They shared experiences in agriculturalproduction and planning and the growing of industrial crops and trees,as well as Vietnam’s policies on human development in servingagricultural development.
On Nov. 17, the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique and the MozambiqueChamber of Commerce and Industry jointly held a “Vietnam-MozambiqueBusiness Meeting” to help businesses from the two countries exchangeinformation and seek partners./.
