Hanoi (VNA) – Nearly 600 Vietnamese citizens were brought home from Japan and Myanmar on October 14 and 15.
Theflights were arranged by relevant agencies of Vietnam and the host countries,with passengers being children under 18, pregnant women, elderly people, peoplewith health problems, tourists and short-term visitors who were stuck due totravel restrictions, workers with expired contracts and students without accommodations.
Strictsecurity, safety and epidemiological measures were implemented during theflights to ensure passengers’ health and prevent the spread of diseases.
Afterlanding, passengers and crew members had their health checked and sent toquarantine in line with regulations.
Therepatriation of Vietnamese citizens in disadvantaged circumstances abroad willcontinue to be conducted in line with citizens’ wishes, the development of the COVID-19pandemic and quarantine capacity in the country./.
