Mong Cai border gate working hours extended

Starting next month, Mong Cai border gate will remain open for immigration activity from 7am to 8pm (Hanoi time), one hour later than the current closing time of 7pm.

Time for imports and exports, from 7am to 7pm, will remain unchanged.

Mong Cai, located in the northern province of Quang Ninh, and China'sDongxing border gates have become important entrepots for goods,investment capital, and travellers between Vietnam and China.

They arealso the only land and sea border gates between the two countries.Dongxing is the most favourable gateway for China's south and southwestregions to trade with Vietnam and other ASEAN countries.

The extension of operational time, which has been approved by thePrime Minister, aims to facilitate cross-border travel and trade betweenthe two countries.

Quang Ninh Customs Department hasdirected Mong Cai border gate Customs Division to arrange staff andequipment for extra working hours.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
