Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs(MoLISA) has proposed a plan on giving presents to people withmeritorious services to the country’s revolution on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalidsand MartyrsDay (July27).
Underthe plan, which will cost more than 355.4 billion VND (over 15.5 million USD), giftsworth 400,000 VND (17.5 USD) each will be presented to Vietnameseheroic mothers; war invalids and sick soldiers who have lost 81percent or more of their working capacity; veteran revolutionaries who lost 81percent or more of their working capacity due to exposure to toxic chemicalsduring the war; and fallen soldiers’ next of kin who enjoymonthly daily living allowances.
Meanwhile, giftsworth 200,000 VND (nearly 9 USD) each will be distributedto war invalids and sick soldiers who have lost 80 percent or less of theirworking capacity; veteran revolutionaries who lost 80 percent or less of theirworking capacity due to exposure to toxic chemicals during the war.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc authorizedthe Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to submit the plan to the Presidentfor approval.
Thetotal amount of money for the gifts donation will be sourced from the 2018 Statebudget.-VNA
