The High Command of Military Zone 2 will focus on improving personneltraining and searching for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiersand experts in Laos in its cooperation plan with the northern provincesof Laos.
At a conference hosted by the Military Zone 2 on July9, it was also agreed that the Vietnamese side will build a trainingrange for Laos’ Division 3 and complete the houses they built forwelfare beneficiary families in northern Laos.
Deputy Ministerof National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh urged thetwo sides to perform well their key roles in ensuring politicalsecurity and social order and safety in the shared border line.
Vinh said the defence ministry will create optimal conditions forMilitary Zone 2 to fully implement the contents of its collaborationagreement with the Lao side.
Last year, the two sides organisedtraining courses for military technicians of armed force units inNorthern Laos and began the building of 28 houses for Lao welfarebeneficiary families.-VNA
