Microsoft hosts ‘cloud' workshop

The Ministry of Information and Communications, in collaboration with Microsoft, organised a workshop on openness and cloud computing for creating an open, flexible and secure e-governance cloud platform.

Inline with new trends in global IT, Vietnam understands that cloudcomputing helps to save the state budget, improve the IT performance andaccelerate innovation of the bureaucracy. This is also considered afoundation for Vietnam to continue implementing large systems ofe-governance on a national scale, which includes a database, an emailsystem and an integrated e-document exchange system.

G-Cloudsolution will facilitate information exchange between managementagencies, and between public service agencies and citizens. This,consequently, will shorten service time, save costs and make the processmore transparent.

At the deployment, in a "government cloud",ministries and department can interact and share cloud infrastructure toenhance management and administration performance while being secure atthe highest level.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
