Mekong Delta farmer dedicated to collecting Uncle Ho stamps

Tran Huu Hue, a farmer in the Mekong Delta’s An Giang province, has collected more than 2,000 stamps bearing images of late President Ho Chi Minh.

Hue has been passionate about collecting stamps since he was in Grade 6 and is now a famous collector.

By 1998 he had a collection of 400 stamps depicting Uncle Ho printed in Vietnam and elsewhere, with 60 actually sent on envelopes. His collection won the Bronze Medal at the 1st National Postage Stamp Exhibition. By 2005, more stamps had been added to the collection, themed “Ho Chi Minh’s Life and Career,” which won him another Bronze Medal at the 2005 National Postage Stamp Exhibition.

Each stamp contains information about Uncle Ho’s life, revolutionary career, and dedication to the country and its people.

Hue wishes to convey how Uncle Ho was a lifelong leader of the Vietnamese people through his stamp collections./.
